Governor Polis Appoints Elise V. Myer to the 9th Judicial District Court

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Elise V. Myer to fill a vacancy on the 9th Judicial District Court. This vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable James Berkley Boyd and is effective July 1, 2023. 

Ms. Myer is the head of the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in Glenwood Springs, a position she has held since 2022. Previously, she was Deputy Public Defender in the Glenwood Springs Office (2011-2022). Her practice consists of criminal defense. Ms. Myer earned her B.A. from Temple University in 2004 and her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law in 2010.
