Governor Polis Signs Laws Passed by Legislature During Special Session to Deliver Real Results for Hardworking Colorado Families

DENVER - Governor Polis signed new laws passed by the legislature during the special session.

“I’m proud to provide immediate property tax relief for all Coloradans and help those who need it the most. Thanks to these actions, more hardworking people can stay in the communities they love or grew up in. I appreciate the legislature's thoughtful work to save people money and their ability to pass laws during this urgent special session before Thanksgiving to provide property tax relief,” said Governor Polis. 

Governor Polis signed the following bills into law
 

  • SB23B-001 2023 Property Tax Relief, sponsored by Senate President Steve Fenberg, Senator Chris Hansen, House Speaker Julie McCluskie, and Representative Chris DeGruy Kennedy. 

  • HB23B-1008 Appropriation For Department Of Treasury, sponsored by Representatives Sheila Lieder and Tammy Story, and Senators Kyle Mullica, and Chris Hansen.

  • HB23B-1002 Increased Earned Income Tax Credit 2023, sponsored by Representatives Jenny Willford and Mary Young, and Senators Chris Kolker and Rhonda Fields. 

  • SB23B-003 Identical TABOR Refund, sponsored by Senators Nick Hinrichsen and Janice Marchman and Representatives Javier Mabrey and Ruby Dickson.
