Governor Polis Appoints District Court Judge for 18th Judicial District

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Don J. Toussaint to the 18th Judicial District Court. The appointment is occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable John L. Wheeler.

Judge Toussaint is currently an Arapahoe County Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2018. He presides over a criminal docket. Previously, Judge Toussaint was a District Court Magistrate in the 18th Judicial District (2017-2018); Assistant City Attorney with the City of Aurora (2012-2017); and Associate with White and Steele, PC (2009-2012). Judge Toussaint earned his B.A. from University of Colorado-Denver in 1998 and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2009. 

The appointment is effective January 12, 2021.
