Governor Polis Appoints Judges to La Plata and Delta County Courts

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today announced the appointments of Anne K. Woods as a judge on the La Plata County Court in the 6th Judicial District and Bough A. Zeerip as a judge on the Delta County Court in the 7th Judicial District. Woods’ appointment is occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable Dondi J. Osborne and Zeerip’s appointment is occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Jin Ho D. Pack.

Woods is currently a Senior Deputy Public Defender for the State of Colorado, a position she has held since 2015. Her practice consists of criminal law. Woods earned her B.A. from Arizona State University in 2009 and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2015.

Her appointment is effective October 1, 2020. 

Zeerip is currently a Chief Deputy District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District, a position he has held since 2018. His practice consists of criminal law. Previously, Mr. Zeerip was a Deputy District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District (2007-2018); Counsel and CFO for Grace Community Church (2000-2007); and Associate at Bendinelli Law Office, P.C. (1998-2000). Mr. Zeerip earned his B.S. from Central Michigan University in 1992 and his J.D. from Regent University in 1997.

His appointment is effective January 12, 2021.
