Gov. Polis Visits Community Vaccination Site at Colorado State Fairgrounds Run in Partnership with Centura and Pueblo County

PUEBLO, CO - Today Governor Polis visited the State Community Vaccination Site at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. Centura is running this site in partnership with the state.  The vaccination site is a drive-thru and will be providing 7,000 vaccines per week. All vaccines are free with no copay.

“I was excited to see the State Community Vaccination Site at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in action, putting shots into arms and providing much-needed protection,” said Governor Jared Polis. “This site in Pueblo is one of six State Community Vaccination Sites that will play a pivotal part in delivering this life saving vaccine to everyone 16 and older. I encourage all Coloradans to sign up to get the vaccine when an appointment is available and help end this pandemic.”

The drive-thru clinic will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Monday.  Individuals who are eligible to receive the vaccine can register here. Starting today, Friday, April 2, all Coloradans 16 and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine.

The Polis-Primavera administration is partnering with providers and local communities to stand up community vaccination sites to ensure the COVID-19 vaccine is administered equitably and efficiently as vaccine eligibility expands. In addition to the site being launched at Ball Arena, the State has already launched five other sites.
