Gov. Polis, Sec. Becerra & Federal Delegation to Visit Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in Aurora to Encourage Latinos, Young people & Coloradans to Get Vaccinated
DENVER - Colorado Governor Jared Polis met with Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra today.
“This has been a historic week when it comes to saving people money on health care and I am honored to welcome Secretary Becerra to our beautiful state. We discussed the landmark laws I signed this week creating the Colorado Option and a new board to help save people money on health care and prescription drugs. The Secretary has long championed the Affordable Care Act which has brought health care to millions of Americans including Coloradans living with pre-existing conditions. Secretary Becerra, the Biden Administration, and my administration will continue to meet people in their communities to ensure this free, quick, and safe vaccine gets into arms.”
Governor Polis was joined by Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera, Kim Bimestefer, HCPF Executive Director, and Commissioner of Insurance Mike Conway.
This afternoon, Gov. Polis, Sec. Becerra and members of Colorado’s federal delegation will visit a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Aurora to encourage Latinos, young people, and other Coloradans to get vaccinated and hold a media availability following the visit.
The event will take place in Aurora at Chambers Plaza, 15200 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80011 at 2pm MT.
