Governor Polis Takes Action in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic and Marshall Fire

DENVER - Governor Polis took action in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and Marshall Fire. 

Governor Polis extended an Executive Order pertaining to juvenile justice that temporarily suspends statutes associated with the Division of Youth Services within the Department of Human Services (CDHS) to respond to the pandemic and to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19 in CDHS facilities and ensure the safety and well-being of youth and staff.

Governor Polis extended the Executive Order declaring a state of disaster emergency due to the Marshall Fire and straight-line winds in Boulder County and employing the Colorado National Guard for the purpose of responding to the Marshall Fire to fund fire suppression, response, consequence management, and recovery efforts related to the Marshall Fire.
