Governor Polis Takes Action on Avian Flu

DENVER -  Gov. Polis extended an Executive Order declaring a state of disaster emergency due to the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Colorado, enabling State agencies to coordinate for mitigation of disease spread, response, consequence management, and recovery efforts.  This Executive Order extends the declaration of a disaster emergency for an additional thirty days due to the ongoing need to identify HPAI cases and potential for further response to commercial poultry facilities.
