Gov. Polis Announces Boards and Commissions Appointments

Colorado Dental Board

The Colorado Dental Board makes rules and regulations, examines and licenses dentists and dental hygienists, and conducts hearings regarding the suspension or revocation of licenses.

for terms expiring January 1, 2024:

  • Lisa Ann Carlson-Marks, DDs, FAAPA of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a dentist, reappointed;

  • Natalie Jean Schafer, DDS, MS of Littleton, Colorado, to serve as a dentist, reappointed. 

 

Governor’s Expert Emergency Epidemic Response Committee

The Committee shall amend the state disaster plan that deals with the public health response to acts of bioterrorism, pandemic influenza and epidemics caused by infectious agents.  The Committee shall also advise the Governor in the event of an emergency epidemic.

for a term expiring May 1, 2024:

  • Michelle Angelique Barron, MD of Littleton, Colorado, to serve as a licensed physician who specializes in infectious diseases, appointed.

 

Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline

The Commission monitors and disciplines misconduct of judges and justices of the state courts of Colorado and provides education programs to judges on their ethics obligations under the Colorado code of Judicial Conduct.  

for a term expiring June 30, 2021:

  • James Carpenter of Englewood, Colorado, to serve as a non-attorney, and occasioned by the resignation of Leslie J. Grayson Bolling of Centennial, Colorado, appointed.

 

Juvenile Parole Board

The Colorado Juvenile Parole Board, one of six in the country, grants, denies, modifies, suspends or revokes parole for juvenile delinquents committed to the Department of Human Services.

for a term expiring November 15, 2021:

  • Elizabeth K. Martinez of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a member of the public at-large, and occasioned on the resignation of Kaye Lynn Hotsenpiller of Montrose, Colorado, appointed.

 

Minority Business Advisory Council

The Council provides a public forum at which the perspective of minority businesses is brought to the attention of the State and makes recommendations for regulatory changes needed at all levels of government to encourage the initiation, stability and growth of minority businesses in Colorado.

for terms expiring January 31, 2023:

  • Jose D. Beteta of Boulder, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a business association, reappointed;

  • Anthony James Perez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a business association, reappointed;

  • Alejandro Flores-Munoz of Denver, Colorado to serve as a representative of minority-owned businesses, appointed;

  • Frances Angela Campbell of Lakewood, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a business association, appointed;

  • Jorge H Pantoja of Grand Junction, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a business association, appointed.

 

Pinnacol Assurance Board of Directors

The Pinnacol Assurance Board of Directors promulgates rules and regulations pertaining to the operation and administration of the Colorado Pinnacol Assurance Fund.  

for a term expiring January 1, 2023:

  • Ellen J. Golombek of Denver, Colorado, to serve as an employee of an employer whose liability is insured by Pinnacol, and occasioned by the resignation of William Neish Lindsay III of Denver, appointed.
