Board of Trustees for the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind

This board is responsible for working toward the betterment of the general interests of the school. Of the seven members appointed, at least one appointee shall be a blind person and one appointee shall be a deaf person. No more than four of the seven members shall be of the same political party.

for a term expiring July 1, 2023:

  • Brent C. Batron of Centennial, Colorado, a Democrat, reappointed.

 

Economic Development Commission

The Commission adopts and annual budget and develops guidelines for the expenditures of the fund for financial assistance such as loans, grants, and local match requirements to be provided for various types of projects. The Commission reviews the economic needs of the various geographical regions of Colorado and identifies the types of businesses which need the most support in terms of economic development.  The Commission makes information and assistance available for companies interested in relocating or expanding their operations in the state of Colorado. In addition, the Commission has the authority to work with the Department of Local Affairs on the consideration of recertification of enterprise zones.

State Electrical Board

The Board examines and licenses electricians. The Board also adopts and revises rules and regulations concerning the installation, repair, and alteration of wiring apparatus and equipment for electric light, heat and power.

for terms expiring July 1, 2022:

  • Christopher Huntington Butler of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, a member of the public at large, appointed;

  • Chad Kelly Deyle of Wray, Colorado, to serve as an electrical contractor who has a master’s license, appointed.

 

Identity Theft and Financial Fraud Board

The Board assists the Attorney General, sheriffs, police, and district attorneys in investigating identity theft and financial fraud crimes and in prosecuting persons who commit those crimes. The Board also serves as an educational resource for law enforcement agencies, members of the financial industry, and the public regarding strategies for protection from and deterrence of identity theft and financial fraud crimes.

for a term expiring June 30, 2022:

  • Sheriff Jeffery Shrader of Golden, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a sheriff’s department, appointed.

 

Pollution Prevention Advisory Board

The Board develops pollution prevention goals and objectives; reviews environmental regulatory programs, laws and policies to identify opportunities and incentives; provides direction for pollution prevention outreach, education, training and technical assistance programs; and supports non-regulatory public and private efforts that promote pollution prevention.

for a term expiring July 1, 2020:

  • Jacqueline Slocombe of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a representative of higher education, and occasioned by the resignation of Alison Kendall Bauer of Denver, Colorado, appointed;

  • Robert Myrlon Pressly of Denver, Colorado, to serve as an ex officio member representing state government, appointed.

 

Public School Capital Construction Assistance Board

The Public School Capital Construction Assistance Board was established to protect the health and safety of students, teachers, and other persons using public school facilities and to maximize student achievement by ensuring that the condition and capacity of public school facilities are sufficient to provide a safe and un-crowded environment that is conducive to students’ learning.

for a term expiring July 22, 2021:

  • Allison Esther Pearlman of Denver, Colorado, a construction manager who at the time of appointment manages public school facilities construction projects or who has recent experience managing such projects, appointed.

 

Colorado Tourism Office Board of Directors

The Board of Directors sets and administers policies regarding expenditures from the Colorado Travel and Tourism Fund created in 24-49.7-106 for promoting travel and tourism and related activities that benefit the state.

for a term expiring June 1, 2020:

  • Wanda James of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a representative of the tourism-related retail industry, and occasioned by the resignation of Andres Gil of Louisville, Colorado, appointed.

 

Transportation Commission

The Transportation Commission formulates general policy for the Colorado Department of Transportation with respect to the management, construction and maintenance of public highways and other transportation systems in the state.  The Commission also works to assure that the preservation and enhancement of Colorado’s environment, safety, mobility and economics is considered in the planning of all transportation projects

  • Eula Adams of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a commissioner from the Third Transportation District, and occasioned by the resignation of Jesus Pulido Collantes of Lone Tree, Colorado, appointed.
