Governor Polis Appoints Kristen M. M. Tarrin to the Dolores County Court in the 22nd Judicial District

DENVER — Today, Governor Polis appointed Kristen M. M. Tarrin to the Dolores County Court in the 22nd Judicial District. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Ian J. MacClaren to the Montezuma County Court and is effective immediately. 

Ms. Tarrin is a Magistrate in the 22nd Judicial District, a position she has held since 2023. Her docket consists of domestic and juvenile matters. Ms. Tarrin is also a Child and Family Investigator, Guardian ad Litem, Attorney, and Mediator at McLaughlin Tarrin Law, LLC, all positions she has held since 2021. Previously, she was a Child and Family Investigator (2020-2021), Mediator (2010-2021), and Associate Attorney (2007-2021) at Pitler and Associates, P.C. Ms. Tarrin earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1991 and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2006.
