    Lt. Governor Primavera to Offer Free Webisode Instruction for Colorado Educators with Space Foundation Partners

    DENVER — Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera and the Space Foundation announced 10 free instructional webisodes to Colorado educators this summer. The innovative curriculum developed by the Space Foundation education team utilizes Immersive Education, which puts students in real-world scenarios where they can see the connection to real-world jobs. This promotes lifelong learning and interest in STEAM careers (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics). It also helps grow a community’s organic workforce and strengthen economic development.

    Governor Polis Releases Statement on Attempted Arson Near Statue at State Capitol

    DENVER - Gov. Polis released the following statement on the apprehension of individuals for attempted arson near the Civil War monument at State Capitol building. The individuals were trying to light debris on fire near the base of where the statue previously stood. No one has yet been charged for the destruction of the statue itself.

    Governor Polis Applauds Colorado Springs Move Toward Renewable Energy

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis applauded a vote by the Colorado Springs City Council in favor of an electric resource plan that will retire the Drake coal plant in 2023, the Nixon coal plant by 2030 and the Birdsall gas plant by 2035. The municipal utility will replace these generating facilities primarily with renewable energy, storage, and expanded demand-side management programs.

    Governor Polis Signs HB20-1326

    DENVER - Gov. Polis today signed HB20-1326, Create Occupational Credential Portability Program. The bill relocates the existing occupational credential exemption to expand portability of state licenses, registrations and certifications for regulated professions, and provides that newly-located military spouses may apply for a temporary license, certification or registration in a regulated profession if they hold such a credential from another state.
