Division of Motor Vehicles to perform system upgrade November 7-11
October 20, 2014 – Denver, Colo. – A computer network system upgrade will be implemented by the Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) in support of the Division of Motor Vehicles beginning on the evening of Friday, November 7 and lasting through Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
The upgrade will have the following impacts:
- On November 10, state and county motor vehicle title and registration offices won’t be able to print titles over the counter or pull motor vehicle records from the state database.
- Customers who do title transactions during this server upgrade will have their titles mailed to them.
It is important to note that during this server upgrade, customers will still be able to renew their vehicles online at https://www.colorado.gov/apps/dor/dmv/vehicle/registration/renewal/welco....
The server upgrade will enhance OIT’s ability to maintain and support the Colorado State Titling and Registration system, which means better performance for the citizens of Colorado. The Division of Motor Vehicles apologizes for any inconvenience due to this important maintenance work.
