    Gov. Polis Signs Bill Into Law

    DENVER — Today, Governor Jared Polis signed a bipartisan bill updating boards and commissions statutes to include an 8th Congressional District. Following the most recent reapportionment and addition of an 8th Congressional seat, this good governance bill accounts for the addition of the 8th Congressional District where applicable, and cleans up language within statutes to make it easier to understand the intent of the law and the requirements for service of Colorado’s boards and commissions.

    Polis Administration Continues Support for Survivors of the Marshall Fire Disaster: Benefit Concert with AEG, Community Foundation Boulder County

    DENVER — Governor Jared Polis, in partnership with AEG and Community Foundation of Boulder County, is hosting a virtual benefit concert to support disaster survivors of the Marshall Fire. The pre-recorded concert will go live on February 28 at 7pm MT, when virtual concertgoers will be able to hear some of Colorado's and the country's most talented musical artists, with the cost of their ticket going directly to helping Marshall Fire survivors through the Community Foundation of Boulder County’s website.

    Governor Polis Announces New State Actions in Response to Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

    DENVER— Governor Jared Polis announced new state actions in response to Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine. Earlier today, Governor Polis condemned Putin and urged Congress to immediately suspend the federal gas tax and double down on a rapid clean energy transition to ensure that our energy future cannot be tied to geopolitical conflicts and global commodities. Colorado is home to 11,000 Ukrainians.

    Coalition of Mountain West States sign MOU to Develop a Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub, Western Inter-State Hydrogen Hub to Compete for $8 Billion in Federal Infrastructure Funds

    DENVER – Today the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to coordinate and develop a regional clean hydrogen hub. Together, the states will work to compete for a portion of the $8 billion allocated in the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act towards four or more regional hydrogen hubs.

    Continuing to Bring Good Jobs to Coloradans, Increase Access to Workforce Training: Governor Polis Announces Appointments to State Apprenticeship Agency

    DENVER — Today, Governor Polis announced the following appointments to two councils within the State Apprenticeship Agency: the State Apprenticeship Council and the Interagency Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship. Gov. Polis, Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper joined US Department of Labor Secretary Marty Walsh at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Denver Pipefitters Local 208 to bring awareness to Registered Apprenticeships.  Governor Polis also joined both senators and Secretary Walsh at Metropolitan State University to tour the campus’ advanced aerospace manufacturing lab and discuss the importance of apprenticeship programs to expand job training opportunities and in particular open up access for women and students of color to succeed in any field they choose -- from construction and advanced manufacturing to childcare, healthcare, and hospitality.
