DENVER- The West Colfax Business Improvement District (WCBID) in Denver received a Revitalizing Main Streets grant award of $44,700 to create a community space, night market and mobility improvements below the Colfax Viaduct in the Sun Valley neighborhood near Empower Field at Mile High. The “Under the Colfax Viaduct Community Night Markets” project is in collaboration with Denver Streets Partnership and the Westside Stadium Community Coalition. CDOT has also been involved in stakeholder and planning meetings for the project. 

DENVER – Melio, a leading business-to-business payments platform in the U.S. for small businesses, has selected Colorado for its western U.S. headquarters and plans to begin recruiting for 250 new jobs in the state The global payments company headquartered in New York and founded in Israel, chose Colorado for its centralized location, convenient access to domestic and global markets and its perennial talent attraction. 

GRAND JUNCTION- The Horizon Drive District in Grand Junction received a Revitalizing Main Streets grant award of $136,866.07 for its Horizon Drive Street Furniture Project. This project will improve active transportation infrastructure in five locations within CDOT right-of-way along the Maroon Bike Route. The project builds on successful wayfinding signage installed in Grand Junction in 2020 by installing benches with tables, shade structures, trash receptacles, bike racks, a bike fix-it station, bike air pump, a stretching station, additional wayfinding signage, and a large covered outdoor dining area to make walking a biking along Horizon Drive a more pleasant and safer experience. 

DENVER  — Governor Jared Polis signed 13 bills into law in Denver, Aurora, and Golden to expand mental health resources, provide in-state tuition for Native Americans and increase access at the ballot box.  

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings from sunrise until sunset on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, in honor of Gordon Beesley, a veteran of the Arvada Police Department who was killed in the line of duty.

DENVER  — Governor Jared Polis signed six bills into law in Silverthorne, Basalt, and Eagle to strengthen Colorado’s mental health resources and provide additional support for Colorado’s search and rescue. 

DENVER  — Governor Jared Polis signed bills into law during signing ceremonies in Denver to help Colorado agriculture workers, the state’s immigrant community, and provide support for the state’s children in foster care.   

DENVER - Governor Polis announced the winner of the fourth $1 million Colorado Comeback Cash Vaccine Drawing. Stephanie Sharp of Parker is the latest vaccinated Coloradan to win $1 million. 

DENVER - Today Governor Polis appointed Allison J. Esser to the 19th Judicial District Court. The vacancy is created by the retirement of the Honorable Thomas H. Quammen and is effective July 31, 2021.
