    Polis Administration Continues Making Significant Progress on Improving Colorado’s Infrastructure, Roads & Bridges  

    DENVER -  The Polis administration continues to make significant progress on improving Colorado’s infrastructure, roads, and bridges. This afternoon, Governor Polis and Colorado Department of Transportation Executive Director Shoshana Lew, and local officials will mark the construction to replace the aging Interstate 70 bridge over Harlan Street. The project is part of a larger effort of bridge replacements and repairs in the Denver region and state through the Colorado Department of Transportation’s 10-Year Plan - the plan prioritizes delivering the most critical projects in the state.

    Polis Administration Announces Increase in Minimum Wage, Continuing to Support Hardworking Coloradans

    DENVER —  Today, Governor Polis and the Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) Division of Labor Standards and Statistics (DLSS) announced an increase to Colorado’s minimum wage, which is currently $12.56 per hour for 2022, and will increase to $13.65 per hour in 2023, an 8.68% increase. Annually adjusting the minimum wage for inflation is a voter-approved mandate in the Colorado Constitution. The new minimum wage will take effect on January 1, 2023.

    Governor Polis Announces Colorado as The Recipient of New Federal Infrastructure Funding

    DENVER — Today, Governor Polis and the Colorado Department of Transportation announced Colorado as the recipient of a $100,000,000 Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight and Highway Projects grant program (INFRA) award. This federal program offers competitive grant opportunities for projects that improve safety, increase efficiency, and offer an opportunity to generate economic growth. The Funding will go towards I-70’s Floyd Hill Project which will expand reliability and safety and improve aspects of Colorado’s I-70’s Mountain Corridor.

    Gov. Polis Receives Safe & Effective Omicron Vaccine at Mobile Vaccine Clinic

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis visited the new community vaccination site at Ball Arena to receive a dose of the doctor-approved omicron vaccine to protect himself, his loved ones, and community against this COVID-19 variant. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officially approved Pfizer and Moderna’s updated COVID-19 omicron doses to protect from both the original COVID-19 virus and the omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus.

    Gov. Polis and Mayor Hancock Welcome Fmr. CIA Director John Brennan and Ambassador John Bolton, Address America’s Future Role in Global Security at 9/11 Tribute and Forum

    DENVER – Gov. Jared Polis and Mayor Michael B. Hancock, in partnership with The Denver Post, the University of Denver and the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL), will host Colorado Remembers 9/11 to commemorate the 21st anniversary of 9/11 and educate the public on the most pressing issues impacting U.S. security and foreign policy, including a hard-hitting discussion on Russia, China, the Middle East, and domestic extremism. The event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 at the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver at 7:00 p.m.

    Celebrating Hardworking Coloradans & Supporting Colorado’s Disability Funding Committee: Polis-Primavera Administration Announces Personalized Occupation License Plate Auction this Labor Day

    DENVER — In celebration of Labor Day and the hard work of Colorado’s strong workforce, the Polis-Primavera Administration announced today an auction for the rights to 40 occupation-themed official state license plate configurations. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Colorado Disability Funding Committee and will be used to fund grants for disability application assistance as well as new and innovative programs increasing quality of life and independence of Coloradans with disabilities.
