    Polis Administration Secures Craft Brewing Company for New Northglenn Headquarters

    DENVER – The Polis Administration and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced today that Prost Brewing Company, a Colorado-based craft brewery, has selected the city of Northglenn for its new headquarters and expansion project, including a showcase production facility, distribution center and world-class biergarten.

    Governor Polis Takes Action in Response to Wildfires and Avian Flu

    DENVER -  Governor Polis issued an Executive Order in response to the Menkhaven Fire in Conejos County. The Governor’s action enables State agencies to coordinate for fire suppression, response, consequence management, and recovery efforts, and makes funding available from the Disaster Emergency Fund (DEF) to support wildfire response and recovery efforts. The Menkhaven Fire is 100% contained as of June 7, 2022. Governor Polis issued an Executive Order amending the funding  for the 2018 Cabin Lake Fire to fund the full extent of repairs incurred by fire damages.

    Colorado’s Landmark Proposal for Federal Funding of the Colorado Option to Help Save People Money on Health Insurance Approved

    DENVER - Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Governor Jared Polis announced the approval of Colorado’s Section 1332 Innovation Waiver Request for the Colorado Option. This waiver will allow Colorado to fully implement the Colorado Option and lower health insurance premiums even further than the current Reinsurance Program. The Colorado Option establishes a standardized plan that ensures quality coverage and lower premiums beginning in 2023 and will lower health insurance premiums for individuals, families, and small businesses by 15% by 2025.

    Saving Travelers Money: Polis Administration Announces Pegasus and Bustang Services Cut Fares in Half for Summer 

    DENVER – Today, the Polis-Primavera administration and the Colorado Department of Transportation announced that the new express shuttle service – Pegasus – is continuing its half-fare promotion through Labor Day Weekend, providing a low-cost travel alternative to the mountain towns along Interstate 70.  Bustang and Bustang Outrider routes will also be half-off from July 1 through Labor Day Weekend. Governor Polis and CDOT Administrator Shoshana Lew unveiled the Pegasus express shuttle service last month at Union Station.

    Governor Polis Announces Increased Colorado Cash Back Rebate of $750 for Individuals and $1,500 for Joint Filers Giving Colorado Taxpayers Back More of Their Hard-Earned Money

    DENVER — Today, Governor Polis, Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, Treasurer Dave Young, and the Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) announced Colorado taxpayers will get more of their hard-earned money back with $750 going back to individuals and $1,500 to joint filers this summer. Coloradans have until June 30, 2022 to file their taxes to receive the tax rebate this summer. These tax rebates are money already owed to Coloradans and are getting back to them nearly a year quicker thanks to a bipartisan law signed by Gov. Polis and sponsored by Sen. Nick Hinrichsen, Sen. Robert Rodriguez, Rep. Tony Exum, and Rep. Lindsey Daugherty.

    Gov. Polis Announces Action Plan to Open More Colorado Swimming and Expand Hours during Summer

     AURORA — Today at a public swimming pool in Aurora, Governor Polis announced action to help ensure swimming pools are open and properly staffed this summer including more workforce flexibility, new training for lifeguards, and grants to local communities. Many local governments have delayed the opening of swimming pools due to staffing shortages or cut back on hours, and the Governor wants everyone who wants to swim to be able to swim this summer.  The Governor was joined by Mayor Coffman, Council Member Coombs and members of the community and his cabinet.
