    Governor Polis Authorizes Disaster Declaration in Response to Devastating Glenwood Canyon Mudslides

    DENVER- Governor Jared Polis issued a disaster declaration that he announced he would be issuing several days ago in response to the devastating damage from mudslides that have forced the I-70 corridor through Glenwood Canyon to close and impacted other parts of the state. The disaster declaration authorizes the use of the Colorado National Guard for traffic control and debris removal. Additionally, the declaration activates the State’s Emergency Operations Plan and enables State agencies to better coordinate their response while also providing additional funds to respond to the damage and repairs needed in areas affected by burn scar flooding and slides.

    Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera Attends Ribbon Cutting for New Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Wellington

    WELLINGTON – Today, Colorado Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera attended a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Kum & Go’s new electric vehicle charging station in Wellington, part of the Polis-Primavera administration’s Electric Vehicle Corridors project. Lt. Governor Primavera was joined by Will Toor, Colorado Energy Office Executive Director; Troy Hannan, Mayor of Wellington; Ken Kleemeier, Kum & Go VP of Fuels; and Anne Smart, ChargePoint VP of Public Policy.

    The Board of Real Estate Appraisers meets monthly to conduct rulemaking hearings, make policy decisions, consider licensing matters, review complaints and take disciplinary action against real estate appraisers. It is a board of seven members, appointed by the governor.

    Colorado Grown Food Competition to Debut at 2021 State Fair

    PUEBLO - To highlight Colorado’s diverse and unbeatable agricultural products and chefs, Governor Jared Polis has announced the inaugural “Governor’s Plate” competition to debut at the 2021 Colorado State Fair. The competitors will partner with Colorado Proud to select Colorado-grown ingredients, including the Pueblo chile, to incorporate in their dishes.
