    Gov. Polis, Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper Welcome FEMA Assistance on Devastating Wildfires

    DENVER - The federal government declared that a major disaster exists in the State of Colorado and approved Federal assistance for the Cameron Peak Fire in Larimer County and the East Troublesome Fire in Grand County to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by wildfires from September 6 to November 5, 2020, following Governor Polis previous request on December 23, 2020.

    Gov. Polis Releases Colorado’s Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis released Colorado’s Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap today. Gov. Polis was joined by members of the General Assembly, the clean energy and utility sector, and members of his Cabinet including Jill Hunsaker Ryan, Executive Director CDPHE, Will Toor, Executive Director CEO, Shoshana Lew, Executive Director CDOT and other members of the Polis administration.

    Governor Polis Appoints Brett Martin and Teri Vasquez to the 17th Judicial District Court

    DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis appointed Brett Martin and Teri Vasquez to the 17th Judicial District Court.  Brett Martin fills a vacancy occasioned by the voters' decision not to retain the Honorable Tomee Crespin. His appointment is effective immediately.  Teri Vasquez fills a vacancy occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable Emily Anderson.  Her appointment is effective January 23, 2021.

    CiviCO Honors Colorado's Top Leaders With 2020 Governor's Citizenship Medals

    Each year, in partnership with Governor Jared Polis and all living Colorado Governors, CiviCO helps to honor Colorado leaders who inspire excellence and community service with the Colorado Governor’s Citizenship Medals. The eight recipients for 2020, announced by Governor Jared Polis earlier this year, will be honored at a virtual event in January as part of Colorado Leadership Month, an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the essential and integral contributions of Colorado leaders both past and present. The medal recipients will also be highlighted during a Rocky Mountain PBS special on January 14 at 7 p.m.

    Gov. Polis, Health Care Providers Provide Update on State’s COVID-19 Response, Vaccine Administration

    Today, Governor Jared Polis provided an update on Colorado’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing mass vaccination process. Governor Polis was also joined by Peter D. Banko, President & CEO Centura Health; Dr. Richard Zane, Chief Innovation Officer, UC Health and Chair of Emergency Medicine, CU School of Medicine; and John Santistevan, President & CEO, Salud Family Health Centers.
