    Gov. Polis Meets with President Trump to Advocate for Colorado as Home to Space Command

    DENVER - Today Gov. Jared Polis met with President Trump in Colorado Springs to discuss the permanent relocation of the U.S. Space Command headquarters. Gov. Polis released the following statement after the meeting. “Colorado is the perfect home for Space Command and I was excited to have the opportunity to remind President Trump why that’s true,” said Governor Jared Polis. “Colorado is home to a proud military history. Not only do we have a strong community of veterans and active duty military, but our state is the epicenter for the national security and aerospace industries. We had a great conversation today about why Colorado is best and I think after his visit to Colorado Springs, the President will see that Space Command’s permanent home should once again be in Colorado. The President said he enjoyed his speech at the Air Force Academy Graduation and is strongly considering Colorado for Space Command and plans to decide by the end of the year.”

    Lt. Governor, State Lawmakers Mark 75th Anniversary of the End of WWII

    DENVER - Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II by signing a proclamation to honor the dedication and hard work of the men and women who served in the war and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Lt. Gov. Primavera was joined by Sen. Nancy Todd, Sen. Bob Gardner, Rep. Rhonda Fields, and Rep. Mike Weissman, and Colorado Freedom Memorial Foundation founder Rick Crandall.

    Gov. Polis Statement to the State of the Union

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis released the following statement in response to President Trump’s State of the Union address: “We are at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history where we must reject the manufactured division that is being shoved forward for the sake of political gain and work together on bold efforts to expand opportunity for all. That’s why in Colorado, we’re working to invest in education, fighting to lower the cost of health care, address the economic and moral threat of climate change and create good-paying jobs. “I appreciate Gov.     Colorado Delegation Shows Support for Polis Administration’s Comments on Proposed Hemp Rule

    DENVER- Earlier today, Gov. Jared Polis and the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA), in partnership with Attorney General Phil Weiser, submitted the State’s official response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) interim final rule related to the establishment of a Domestic Hemp Production Program. Members of Colorado’s Congressional delegation voiced their support for the submitted comments on the USDA’s interim final hemp rule.
