    DENVER -  Today, Governor  Polis appointed Anthony N. Baca to fill a vacancy on the La Plata County Court in the 6th Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the resignation of the Honorable Anne Woods and is effective immediately.

    Gov. Polis Visits Warming Centers & Shelters Supporting Coloradans & Migrants as State Continues to Take Bold Action to Keep People Safe 

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis visited warming centers and shelters providing critical support to people in Colorado during the extreme cold weather this week. The Polis administration acted swiftly and thoroughly to prepare for the extreme weather, keep people safe, and save lives, and the state has provided around the clock support to local governments and municipalities. Governor Polis expressed his appreciation to the hardworking volunteers, staff, and National Guard service members supporting the warming centers and shelters, and delivered gifts to children at the sites to ensure they had a small gift to open this holiday season.

    DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis announced that he has granted clemency to 24 individuals, including 4 commutations and 19 pardons.  The Governor also granted one individual a commutation and a pardon.

    Provider Registration Open for Universal Preschool (UPK) Colorado

    DENVER — The Polis administration and the Colorado Department of Early Childhood recently opened the registration process for providers to participate in Universal Preschool (UPK) Colorado, the state-funded high-quality, voluntary mixed delivery preschool program available to every Colorado child in the year before they are eligible to enter kindergarten.

In addition to bringing good-paying new jobs to Colorado Springs, the company will support the continued development of the state’s semiconductor industry and the high-skilled workforce it demands.

    Polis-Primavera Administration Announces Zivaro to Serve Space and Command Control Programs by Expanding in Colorado Springs

    DENVER – Today, Governor Polis, Lt. Governor Primavera,  and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced that Zivaro, an information technology company that specializes in serving government and national defense partners, has selected Colorado Springs, Colorado for expansion. There, the company’s new business unit will focus on modernizing legacy systems that serve Space and Command Control Programs operated by and on behalf of the U.S. Government. These more flexible technology solutions will help the Government continue to keep up with the pace of change required in today’s operating environment.
