    Governor Polis Announces Schools Selected to Receive Governor’s Bright Spot Award

    DENVER- Today, Governor Polis announced a new special recognition for the 21 schools across the state that have demonstrated strong growth in student achievement since 2019. The selected schools have demonstrated excellence and the ability to advance learning through challenging times. These Schools will receive the Governor’s Bright Spot award and $50,000 dollars of GEER funds to go towards investments such as expanding student resources, faculty development, preparing and preventing public health emergencies and other opportunities that will benefit students' learning experiences.

    Gov. Polis Announces Boards and Commissions Appointments

    Air Quality Control Commission

    The Commission develops and maintains a comprehensive program for the prevention and control of air pollution in Colorado. The major goal of this program is to meet national ambient air quality standards.

    Saving Health Care Workers Money: Colorado Health Care Professionals Returning to Work Could Qualify for Incentives

    DENVER -  Governor Polis and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is excited to announce a new $10 million fund that will save health care professionals across the state money when they re-enter the workforce. This $10 million dollar grant fund empowers health care providers to offer incentives, bonuses, or additional services to attract workers and assist in license renewal or maintenance. This new fund is part of the Polis-Primavera Administration's Roadmap to Moving Forward.

    Governor Polis Signs Partnership Agreement with Colorado WINS

    DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis and Colorado WINS (COWINS) signed an update to articles of the existing Partnership Agreement between Colorado WINS and the State. The updated agreement boosts the state’s ability to recruit and retain hardworking state employees and ensures Colorado’s state workforce is compensated fairly and can continue to provide efficient and effective services to Coloradans.

    Polis Administration Announces UK-Based Indoor Farming Technology Company Chooses Loveland, Colorado for North American Headquarters

    DENVER – Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced today that Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS), a Scotland-based agricultural infrastructure company supplying vertical farms to growers has selected Loveland, Colorado for expansion.

    Governor Polis Announces 2022 Governor’s Citizenship Medal Recipients

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and CiviCo, a nonprofit that cultivates civic-minded leaders, announced the recipients of the 2022 Colorado Governor’s Citizenship Medals. Each year, the Governor awards the Citizenship Medals to citizens and organizations who inspire excellence and public service. Gov. Polis announced six recipients for 2022 who will be honored on January 26, 2023 as part of Colorado Leadership Month.
