HUGO - Today, Governor Polis signed SB24-121 - Licensure of Critical Access Hospitals, sponsored by Senators Rod Pelton and Dylan Roberts and Representatives Mary Young and Richard Holtorf into law at Lincoln Health Community Hospital in Hugo. This law will support rural hospitals and ensure Coloradans have access to the high-quality care they need, no matter where they live.

DENVER – Today, at the Housing Innovation Summit, Gov. Jared Polis, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), and the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) announced that 2025 Proposition 123 funding will prioritize cost-effective modular housing projects. With state support, modular and innovative housing manufacturers across Colorado are developing and advancing innovative construction methods that can help make housing quicker to build, more cost-effective, and more sustainable. Today’s announcement will build on Colorado’s largest one-time investment by a state into the modular housing industry and continue this critical work to develop attainable housing for every budget.

Governor Polis Signs Bill to Support AmeriCorps Alumni with Educational and Workforce-Development Goals

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis signed legislation to provide a state income tax subtraction on the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award for AmeriCorps members. With the signing of House Bill 24-1240, Colorado becomes just the sixth state in the nation to alleviate this financial burden for AmeriCorps alumni.
