DENVER - Colorado Governor Jared Polis applauded President Biden’s decision to reschedule cannabis. In December of 2023, Governor Polis led a coalition of fellow Governors and called upon President Biden and the Drug Enforcement Administration to reschedule cannabis. This action will save Colorado businesses money by removing the heavy financial burden that 280E punitive tax measures created.

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Kellie L. Starritt to the 7th Judicial District Court. The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable J. Steven Patrick and is effective July 1, 2024.

AURORA - Today, Governor Polis signed bills into law that will make Colorado safer and provide important investments into public safety and support for victims.

DENVER — Serve Colorado is joining forces with 10 other states, the Schultz Family Foundation, Pinterest, AmeriCorps, the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration, and the Colorado Community College System to recruit, train, and deploy the nation’s first Youth Mental Health Corps to help teenagers access critical mental health resources. Serve Colorado, located within the Office of the Lt. Governor, manages AmeriCorps programs across the state of Colorado. Colorado programs hosting members for the Youth Mental Health Corps include Alpine Achievers Initiative, City Year, Colorado Youth for Change, Trailhead Institute, and United Way Southwest Colorado.
