DENVER - Today, as acting Governor, Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera verbally declared a disaster emergency to support the response and recovery for the U.S. Highway 50 bridge over Blue Mesa Reservoir at Dillon Pinnacles. This establishes a coordinated framework for an interagency, statewide response to build on the leading efforts of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), engage other state agencies as areas of expertise are needed, and implement the State Emergency Operations Plan. The State Emergency Operations Plan supports a coordinated approach among state agencies. The declaration also initiates processes for requesting federal assistance, including supplemental highway funding.

DENVER – Today, Governor Polis and the Business Funding & Incentives Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced the Colorado Technology Hub Development Grant awards. Three recipients across the state will receive funding to advance Colorado’s leadership in key technology areas, grow regional economies and create new job opportunities for Coloradans.

DENVER - To promote Colorado’s agriculture, geothermal, and small business sectors, Governor Polis is joining a delegation of Colorado leaders this week as part of the Biennial of the Americas Summit. DENVER — Today, the Colorado Disability Funding Committee launched an auction for the rights to 10 official state license plate configurations with cannabis-themed phrases including NUGGET, COHEMP, REEFER, and GRASS. Auction proceeds are used to provide grants to support disability application assistance and innovative programs designed to benefit people with disabilities. The auction has been running annually since 2021 and has generated over $96,000.
